A few things today health related. I may start a fitness blog, be on the lookout for that soon.
ONE
I stopped taking St. John's Wort (an over the counter herbal remedy for depression). It DEFINITELY elevated my mood, but too much so it seemed.
I read somewhere that being depressed and anxious has an evolutionary advantatege: it makes you think more analytically.
I definitely wasn't as worried about tests, studying, work, my future, my type A perfectionist headstrong OCD habits definitely fell by the wayside. The funny thing is is that I missed feeling like that. So I have stopped taking it.
I'll take feeling crappy randomly for a day or two over feeling stupid (I felt stupid on this stuff), would never try an SSRI
TWO
going to try to drink a raw egg
Read somewhere about some guy who would drink 28 a day...
Definitely need to try...
Put one in a cup today, but I was hungover, would've puked... psyched myself out
But I will do it
I didn't know that about St. John's Wort. I might give it a try, see how it goes.
ReplyDeleteI would never try that.

St jons!
ReplyDeleteRaw egg and pepper and salt (maybe no salt) is suppose to be a hangover cure.
ReplyDeletelol wat... over the counter drugs are more lethal than street drugs. and anything is a hang over cure. water dilutes the alcohol. foods absorb it. then it takes times for your body to get that alcohol out of your system. basically time only sobers u up.
ReplyDeleteI would rather be unhealthy than endure drinking raw eggs.
ReplyDeletegood luck with egg dude. Post results when you drink 28 in one day.
ReplyDeleteA classic breakfast in Japan is a raw egg stirred into fresh, hot rice. It's delicious! Raw eggs aren't that bad...
ReplyDeleteEw... No thanks on the raw egg idea. Just keep your chin up, don't read too far into the crap that's bumming you out. Start working out, it's proven to up your mood, too!

few raw eggs in a blender, bit of milk, spoon of peanut butter and a banana or two for taste. godlike natural protein shake. add oats for healthy wholesome carbs as well
